Wig'd Out

Wig'd Out the Movie is the only feature length, scripted movie about a teenage girl with alopecia. Wig'd Out was inspired by the real life of Olivia Rusk and her total hair loss due to the medical condition alopecia.

"Wig'd Out" follows the real-life story of Olivia Rusk, a 19-year-old Fishers resident who developed alopecia at 18 months old. The auto-immune condition causes the immune system to attack hair follicles, resulting in bald spots or complete baldness. Olivia's hair grew back, then fell out again when she reached the third grade. That's when she decided didn't want to wear a wig to school anymore.
